| December 28, 2003: Today we moved further south in search of warmer water and a little less wind - and we found it! The first site we dove was White Marlin - a reef system that was about 80-90 feet deep. Two of the divers on the boat - Carol & Bob from California - ventured out a little further than the rest of us and ran into two hammerheads. Thanks for the great pictures! Man - we wished we had followed them :-). After White Marlin we moved to Paradise Valley, were we saw some turtles and horse-eyed jacks. At Blue Chromis Sara found her first dive treasure of the trip - a handle from a boat. She carried it around the dive site for a while and brought it topside. No one was as excited about it as she was so it didn't make its way back to Virginia. The last site of the day was Angel Fish Reef. We saw some more turtle and juveniles. The boat stayed at Angel Fish Reef for the night dive. This was the only dive we both didn't make. We made the mistake of leaving our wet suits on during dinner. By the time they opened the dive deck we were freezing. So, we went to bed early, warmed up and got ready for another great day of diving.
