Because tonight we were going to
be making our way back to Grand Cayman, we did an early morning dive
instead of a night dive. The early morning dive was at the Bus Stop on
Bloody Bay Wall. We started the dive with a sleeping nurse shark.
We hung out with him for a while and moved on to find turtles, lobsters and
a Yellow Tail Snapper bait ball. We loved the early morning
dive - it was so peaceful and we saw so much.
After the early morning dive, we
had some breakfast and prepared for the dive briefing for the next site -
The Great Wall on Bloody Bay Wall. Another great site, we did two
dives on this site and actually had a third buddy on one of them - a silver
barracuda. He followed us for almost half a dive.
Later that afternoon, we made
our way to our last Little Cayman dive site - Marilyn's Cut. This was
another typical Bloody Bay site...it had dramatic walls, swim throughs,
great fish, a ton of juveniles, lobsters, turtles, etc.
Between dives at Marilyn's
Cut, we took the kayaks to shore to see what Little Cayman was like.
We both agreed, it's best feature is by far its dive sites (in all fairness,
we only saw a small part of the beach).
That evening, as we were
leaving Little Cayman, the captain slowed the boat because he saw something
to the port side of the boat...it was a blue marlin! He swam next to
us for quite a while. It was truly an amazing site!
