Day 5 - Roatan

On Wednesday we decided to skip the morning boat dives and treat ourselves to a shark feed with Waihuka Adventure Divers.  We were the only four people on the dive that morning so we had great views of the 20 or so reef sharks who came to get their share of the 3 lbs of fish heads.  On this trip we learned two things about ourselves - 1) we love diving with sharks and 2) we are spoiled.  Unlike the Bahamas, North Carolina and the Caymans, the only sharks we saw on this trip were at the feed.  It was an experience we won't soon forget.  Check out Sam's video from the dive here.

In the afternoon we joined dive master, Jimmy, and the rest of the folks on our boat at Valley of the Kings.  Jimmy treated us to more Nitrox rings and we spotted a few green moray eel and Caribbean spiny lobster.

That evening, we met Scuba Steve from Pennsylvania for an awesome night dive.  By the time the three of us got in the water everyone else was exiting.  Within minutes of the dive, Scott spotted a Caribbean reef octopus who entertained us for quite some time.  At one point, as he was crossing the sand he actually tried to climb up Steve's arm and light.  As always, the night dive was a fabulous way to end a perfect day.
