What a great way to celebrate 4th of July!!  Today we went to Santa Cruz and the much heralded Mushroom Forest.  Today was the day of the turtle...Scott was able to see several turtles at both sites. 

Mushroom Forest has a reputation for a reason...this reed is one of the more unique sites Scott has dived and Sara has seen from the surface.  The coral truly does look like mushroom patches.

In between dives, the captain took us to The Blue Room - a cavern that folks can snorkel in.  It was the first of three days we would spend our surface interval at The Blue Room and it was always entertaining.  Each day, at least one person would take the opportunity to jump off the cliffs (see pictures on Day 5).

In the afternoon, Scott joined some folks we met from Jacksonville for a shore dive leaving from the nude beach.
